It's rare to find 1920s murder mysteries that are set in Scotland, and that's why I've absolutely loved narrating Lydia Travers' series about Lady Poppy Proudfoot. Whilst it's beautifully stylised and comic, it also has excellent social commentary - Poppy studied law at Edinburgh University but as a married woman, was prohibited from training as a solicitor. This latest release 'Murder on a Scottish Island' is a joy.

This book ‘Ask Not Why’ is the second audiobook out on Audible where I worked with the author Lucy Montgomery directly and it was such a joy to narrate. Spanning a generation, the story begins in 1914 when two young men from the Isle of Skye leave their homes to join the British army and fight in France; a decision that would change their lives forever with tragic consequences.
